Editorial policy

How we research, translate, review, update and correct our Australian citizenship test learning content.

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Our purpose and independence

Aussie Citizen Test is an independent study platform. We are not part of, endorsed by, or affiliated with the Australian Government or the Department of Home Affairs. Our practice questions are learning exercises, not official test questions.

Sources we prioritise

Claims about the official test format, pass rules, testable topics and preparation resources are checked against first-party Department of Home Affairs material.

How content is reviewed

  1. 1

    Research

We identify the relevant official page or testable section before drafting.

  2. 2

    Draft

We explain the concept in plain language without presenting practice items as official questions.

  3. 3

    Translate

Traditional and Simplified Chinese versions preserve the same rule, number and qualification requirement.

  4. 4

    Verify

We compare the published wording with the official source and display a last-reviewed date.

Translation approach

Chinese explanations are provided to reduce language barriers and clarify concepts. Important English terms are retained where they help learners recognise wording used in the official English-only test. A translation never overrides the current English Department of Home Affairs source.

Updates and corrections

We review key rules when official source pages change and record the latest review date on major learning guides. If you find an error, outdated rule, unclear translation or broken source link, please send the page URL and a short description through our contact form.
